If you’re looking for a way to get in a workout before chowing down on a Thanksgiving meal, you can do so in Paton.
The 9th Annual Gobble Gobble 5K Run/Walk starts at 8:30am at the Loren Shriver Community Center on Thanksgiving. Unlike past years, organizers are not offering free t-shirts this year, but they encourage participants to wear a past Gobble Gobble t-shirt to the race. Entry fee is three non-perishable food items to be given to the Greene County Action Resource Center (ARC) in Jefferson.
The top female and male, as well as the female and male that comes the closest to their estimated finishing time will each win a pumpkin pie. Last year, over 100 people participated in the holiday race. A link to the registration form can be found below.
