Applications are now being accepted for a special grant through the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.

The Derelict Building Grant Program helps communities with populations of 5,000 or less to demolish or renovate abandoned commercial or public structures. The program focuses on reusing or recycling certain building items, while also helping to improve street appearance and commercial development, and alleviate environmental concerns.
