After the first few days of girls’ basketball practice, Greene County head coach Tyler Westhoff talked with Raccoon Valley Radio about his team. The Rams were 1-21 last season and 1-13 in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference play. The coach said he has good young people to work with. “It’s a great group of girls to work with. They all come in with positive attitudes and are willing to work. I really appreciate the effort they’ve been showing so far.”
Two of the returning letter winners are seniors Izzy Bravard and Kassie Lamoureux. “Izzy and Kassie are players we’re really leaning on to provide us some leadership this year. They got some good experience last year being first-time, full-time starting guards in our conference, and the Heart of Iowa is pretty good in girls’ basketball. We’re hoping that experience carries over and they’ll both do great things for us.”
The Rams open the season Dec. 2 at Ogden. KG98 and www.raccoonvalleyradio.com will have the action again this season.
