lake panoramaWith winter weather fast approaching and many residents at Lake Panorama planning to leave their homes for the winter months, the Association is advising that members sign up for Guthrie County’s new Emergency Notification System.

The system will provide warnings for such things as water system issues along with more obvious weather warnings in the local area like severe thunderstorms and severe winter storms.

Looking ahead to next boating season, LPA Administrative Assistant Randy Holl also sees the emergency notification system helping alert part-time members of any potential hazards when they otherwise might not be aware during the busier summer months.

Holl says the system will help residents protect the property values of their homes by allowing them to take action if a situation ever were to arise.  He says the notification system’s accuracy will also prevent the LPA from having to invest in privately developing a similar system.

Lake residents or Guthrie County residents who would like to sign up for the CodeRED system can do so by CLICKING HERE.

Any local residents with questions about the notification system in general can contact Guthrie County Emergency Management Coordinator Bob Kempf at 641-332-3030.
