The Adel City Council will convene this evening for its regular session, as well as a joint session with the Planning and Zoning Commission.
The joint meeting will begin at 4:30 p.m. in the Adel Public Library, and the only item on the agenda is the presentation of the “Envision Adel 2040” comprehensive plan draft from Confluence. The regular meeting will begin with the annual update from the Greater Dallas County Development Alliance, followed by a proclamation for November 10th as the American Legion Auxiliary Centennial Day. In new business, the Council will have consideration of resolutions appointing UMB Bank as the paying agent, note registrar, and transfer agent, and authorizing the issuance of $4.135 million in general obligation refunding capital loan notes as part of the bond refunding process approved at the previous meeting.
Next, they will consider the annual urban renewal report, followed by resolutions to authorize an interfund loan to the Tax Increment Financing (TIF) fund and approving the TIF indebtedness certification. The Council will then consider a pay estimate and final acceptance for the City Hall window replacement project, and the same for the water utility improvements on Bryan and Rapids streets. The meeting will conclude with a possible closed session for the annual job performance review of City Administrator Anthony Brown. The regular meeting will be held at 6 p.m. tonight in the Council Chambers at Adel City Hall.
