As Greene County prepares for their Class 2A football quarterfinal round playoff game in Algona on Friday night, they’ll face a Bulldogs’ team that won its first round game over Central Lyon/George-Little Rock by running for 326 yards and throwing for just six.
Senior linebacker/defensive end Tyler Teeples talked with Raccoon Valley Radio about what he thought worked well in the opening round win in Urbandale vs. Des Moines Christian. “I thought our second half defense was awesome, and our offense was good all night. We had a really good game.”
About Algona, Teeples talked about what he’s seen on film the Rams may be able to take advantage of, and what Algona does well. “I think our passing game could do well. I’m not sure they’ve seen a group of receivers like ours. They’re big up front, so I’m not sure how well we’ll run the ball, but we’re going to try.”
Kickoff is at 7 p.m. at Algona High School with coverage starting at 6 p.m. on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
