Greene County ended its high school cross-country seasons last Thursday at State Qualifying Meets in Atlantic and Lake Panorama. Both Greene County teams were eleventh among 13 squads in their respective races.

Yesterday, head coach Jeff Lamoureux talked about the boys’ team, and today he comments about the girls. “It’s a different story with the girls with our top two runners, and three of our top seven being seniors. We were led by Ashlee Harmeyer, followed by my daughter, Kassie Lamoureux. Tiern Tucker is a senior who wasn’t on the varsity to start the season, but worked her way into that top seven.”

Juniors Conner Allender and Kayla Muir will be back as seniors next year, as well as some of this year’s freshmen. Muir ran cross-country for the first time and the coach said she really made progress.
