After picking up a dominating win on Tuesday over Ballard, the DC-G Volleyball team will now advance to face a powerhouse in their next Regional match-up, in Waverly-Shell Rock.

Cheryl Voelker’s team glided past the Bombers in Grimes on Tuesday in just three sets of work.  The Fillies won the opening set 25-15, the next 25-11, and the third and final set 25-15 to send Ballard packing back home.

Ballard ends its season at 11-20, while Dallas Center-Grimes moves on to the next round with a record of 31-6 on the season.

DC-G will make long trip to Waverly-Shell Rock for their District Championship match on Monday.  The winner of Monday’s match will advance on to the State Tournament at the US Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids.  DC-G was #9 in the final Class 4A State Rankings, while Waverly-Shell Rock took the #4 spot.

DC-G’s Regional Championship match in Waverly will get underway at 7:00pm on Monday.
