The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday.

The meeting began with an Information Technology update from David Garland of Guthrie Center Communications and an update from Midwest Partnership Director Sarah Gomez. Next, the Board approved on a 4-1 vote a resolution to transfer $14,000 of the Conservation Board’s remaining fiscal year 2019 funds to their reserve fund. They discussed IT projects for the 2020 fiscal year, approving that the County moves forward with a disaster recovery plan, but holds off on about $23,500 in other budgeted projects including video production of Board meetings, hardware expenses, and a new hosted phone system.

They then discussed the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office’s compliance with the Iowa Municipalities Workers’ Compensation Association, specifically as it pertains to the three deputies that were injured in a shooting earlier this month in Adair County and have been placed on administrative leave until further notice. Finally, the Board approved a payroll change notice for a new public health home health aide, approved the County Auditor’s quarterly reports of fees ending on June 30th and September 30th of 2019, and discussed scheduling a township trustee and clerk training workshop in December or January.
