The AC/GC volleyball team will be playing for a spot in the regional championship, largely because of the dominance of their sophomore star.

The Chargers have been led by sophomore Chloe Largent and her 597 kills. Largent hasn’t just been leading the Chargers, but she has been among the leaders in kills in the entire state. After AC/GC’s five-set victory over Treynor Monday night, her 597 kills was 29 kills more than the second highest athlete in the state, regardless of class. Largent has also set the pace in kills per set throughout the season. Her 6.49 kills per set is also higher than any other athlete in the state.

AC/GC will lean on the sophomore Thursday night when they play Underwood in the regional semi-final match.
