A month-long event series is returning for its second year in Guthrie County, giving residents a chance to find one-of-a-kind holiday gifts, learn a new craft, and support the local arts community.
The Guthrie County Arts Council is hosting the Holiday Artist Showcase Series every Saturday this November at Art on State in downtown Guthrie Center. From November 2nd-30th, artists from near and far will be selling different items. Attendees can enjoy free refreshments and wine tastings, live music, and receive 20% off any purchased items when they become a member of the arts council. Organizer Debbie Menning adds that visitors can also enjoy a free dessert at the Cabbage Rose restaurant across the street, “The changes for this year are that we have eight new artists joining us for the showcase, representing the communities of Perry, Manning, Stuart, Ames, Casey, Scranton, and Guthrie Center. And we have the pastry samples and sales from the Kringle Man Danish Bakery in Elk Horn.”
The Holiday Artist Showcase Series lasts from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and begins this Saturday.
