Several Greene County 4-H’ers were honored with awards last night at the Churdan Public Library.

A total of 37 4-H’ers were recognized for their record books, with three individuals given an outstanding awards: Adam Hooper for juniors, Brayton Crouse for intermediates and Hannah Curtis and Ashlyn Frederick for seniors. Each 4-H age group also had its individual awards for personal growth and achievement. The Junior Spark Award went to Treynor Cose, Bailey Anderson was the recipient of the Intermediate Flame Award, and the Stellar Senior Award was Madison Brincks. Other 4-H awards were for participation and individual projects.

Several adults also earned recognition. The 4-H Alumni Award winners were Conner, Cale and Alyssa Juergensen; Mac Adamson earned the Honorary 4-H Award, the Friend of 4-H went to Greene County Corn Growers Association and the Meritorious Service Award recipient was Gene Hicks. Adult volunteers were also recognized for reaching milestone service for 5, 10, 15 and 30 years with the Award of the Clover.
