The Panora Public Library is hosting a new event for kids to get in the Halloween spirit next week.

With the help of Girl Scout Troop 857, the library is hosting their first annual pumpkin patch party from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, October 28th. The event will include crafts, games, story time, photo booth, and treats. Library Director Kim Finnegan shares how she reacted when the troop pitched the idea, “I thought this was really a great thing that they could do, and they were very excited as doing this type of program earns them badges and that type of thing. So these girls I think are very excited, and the ages of these girls are about six to eight years old. So I think they’ll do a great job and the kids will love them.”

Costumes are encouraged for the attendees, and this is a free event with no registration required. The Panora Public Library will also be taking part in the first ever Main Street Trick or Treat from 5-6 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30th.
