Friday, October 18th

7:39am: Colleen Swain reported a Suspicious Female in the 1000 Block of East Adams Street.

12:24pm: Carroll PD requested assistance from an officer in locating a vehicle, possibly in Jefferson, near an ice cream shop. The officer did not locate the reported vehicle in Jefferson.

12:21pm: A caller advised of a Suspended Driver driving in the 400 Block of North Chestnut Street. The officer did not locate the vehicle.

10:15pm: A Traffic Stop at Grimmell and Russell resulted in Kaylie Millard of Jefferson being cited for, “Fail to Obey Stop Sign.”

10:30pm: Janice Napolitano reported debris in the roadway near Lincoln Way and maple Streets. The object was removed from the roadway.

11:00pm: David Schrunk reported a group of juveniles, dressed in all black, carrying a bag of eggs near North High and Washington Streets. The officer located the three juveniles and spoke with them. They advised they were going to a residence to make hard boiled eggs. The officer advised them he would be looking for them if any reports of Criminal Mischief come in.

Saturday, October 19th

1:15am: An officer performed a Traffic Stop with a vehicle that crossed the center line on South Elm Street. The officer detected signs and smells of alcohol consumption from the driver. He requested the driver to perform Standardized Field Sobriety Testing, which the driver showed no signs of impairment during the tests. He issued a Verbal Warning to the driver and allowed them on their way.

2:47am: A caller advised of a Careless Driver on 220th Street, heading west towards Jefferson. The officer located the vehicle and performed a Traffic Stop near 220th and North Mulberry Streets, after locking the vehicle at 60 in a 55-mph zone. The officer learned the driver, Dale Lee Spaulding, 51 of Breda, had an outstanding Domestic Abuse Assault Arrest Warrant out of Hamilton County. The officer placed Spaulding in custody and transported him to the LEC. While at the LEC, a Greene County Jailer witnessed Spaulding attempt to flush a smoking device down a toilet. The item was retrieved by the jailer for testing. A deputy charged Spaulding with, “2 Counts of Bring Contraband into Correctional Facility.”

8:24am: An officer responded to 115 West State Street for an Alarm Activation. The officer found employees present and all was fine at the bank.

10:47am: A Traffic Stop in the 1600 Block of Westwood resulted in Robert Schroeder of Scranton being cited for, “Excessive Speed.”

11:46am: Charlie Paniagua spoke with an officer concerning a Civil Property Issue occurring at 402 North Chestnut Street.

1:53pm: Paul Gehling spoke with an officer about concerns with new rules for students during High School football games. The officer directed him to the school with his questions.

5:32pm: Ryan Brown reported the Theft of a motorcycle from 1006 North Walnut Street. The reported theft had occurred sometime in the previous two weeks. The officer is investigating the report.

7:23pm: A Traffic Stop near Vine and Monroe Streets resulted in Jason Smits of Jefferson being cited for, “Driving While Suspended.”

8:42pm: A caller advised of Loud Music coming from a vehicle near Russell Park. The officer did not locate the reported vehicle.

Sunday, October 20th

2:07am: An officer issued a Parking Violation Notice in the 200 Block of South Maple Street for, “48 Hour Parking Violation.”

9:53am: An officer assisted a female with the execution of a Court Oder to retrieve baby items from the residence at 402 North Chestnut Street. During the execution of

the court order, a bag of drug paraphernalia and a small amount of suspected marijuana were located in the residence. As the officers were starting to type a Search Warrant for the residence, the occupant signed a “Consent to Search Order.” The officer removed the items for testing.

4:11pm: Daniel Scheffers reported a male dressed in black clothing walking east in the 1200 Block of West wood Drive. He advised the male was screaming things as he walked. The officer and two deputies responded to the area, but did not locate the subject.

6:54pm: An officer assisted the GC ambulance with a Medical Call in the 1400 Block of Southfield Drive.

11:41pm: An officer responded to an Alarm Activation at the HyVee Fast and Fresh at 106 West Washington Street. All was secure at the business.

******** Officers issued (1) Parking Violation Notice for, “Street Sweeping Parking Violation” during this reporting period.
