Thursday, October 17th

7:15am: The Jefferson Police Department, GC Ambulance, GC Sheriff’s Office, and Iowa State Patrol responded to 220th Street, just east of Grimmell Road, for a (3) vehicle accident. The GC Sheriff’s Office is handling the investigation and release of information for the accident.

12:20pm: An officer assisted Jefferson Fire with an electrical fire contained to a furnace at 612 South Vine Street. No damage to the residence was reported.

2:55pm: A caller advised of smoke in the area of the 700 Block of North Cedar Street. The officer located a controlled burn of yard waste occurring at 706 North Cedar Street.

5:31pm: Officers assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 900 Block of North Maple Street.

10:25pm: Two Jefferson officers responded to assist The Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office with a Stand Off in Stuart.
