Riding a six game winning streak, and sharing the lead in the District with Carroll, tonight’s Week 8 match-up for the Dallas Center-Grimes Football team couldn’t have bigger stakes.

DC-G will make the road trip to the north as the Mustangs get matched up with Webster City.  Dallas Center-Grimes, currently 6-1, will face Webster City, currently 5-2 on the season and in second place in the District will face off at 7:30pm this evening.

With a win, the Mustangs can continue to run the table in the District and share the lead with Carroll.  However, with a loss, DC-G would be tied at second place with Webster City, and would also throw Webster City back into the mix of having a chance to win the District.

DC-G is coming off of a 30-6 win last week in Grimes versus, winless, Boone.  Webster City, winners of their past two contests, slid past Humboldt last week 27-21.

If the defense holds true to form tonight, the Mustangs should have quite favorable chances this evening.

Three weeks ago Webster City and Carroll met up, with the Tigers taking home a convincing win 28-13.  Carroll will face Humboldt tonight, before facing the Mustangs next week in Grimes.

Tonight’s kickoff is scheduled for 7:30pm from Webster City as Scott Heitland and his DC-G Football team looks to improve to 7-1.
