The students have cast their ballots, and tomorrow the community can watch the 2019 West Central Valley homecoming king and queen be crowned.
This year’s king hopefuls are Justin Clarke, Louden Foster, Kade Kunkle, Ismael Leyva, and Gage Perrigo. Those in the running for queen are Sara Beane, Kaila Findley, Beth Lincoln, Meredith Marks, and Taylor Vigon. The homecoming festivities kicked off last Thursday with a “fashion show” of the court modeling the homecoming week dress up day themes, and tomorrow will be the pep assembly and coronation taking place from 5-7 p.m. in the high school sports complex.
Junior and Student Council President Cael Hansen served as emcee for Thursday’s fashion show, and he invites all residents to Sunday’s coronation, “It just shows how much school spirit we have and it gets the entire community involved with it. And so it doesn’t just make it a high school thing, it can make it an entire community thing, for everybody.”
The West Central Valley School District has no school Monday, with homecoming continuing Tuesday with the week including a parade, powderpuff games and a cookout Thursday, the football game versus Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center Friday, and a dance Saturday.
