The AC/GC Chargers will look to bounce back after a tough loss last week to get a victory on homecoming.
The Chargers will welcome in Clarinda into town as both teams have shown great growth since this contest a year ago. This matchup of 4-1 teams will feature two teams who ended last season with just three tallies in the win column. AC/GC was the victor last season winning 38-20 on the road.
AC/GC will look to continue to dominate on the ground. Despite a rough night versus Van Meter, the two leading backs for AC/GC remain among the best rushers in Class 1A. Senior Colby Jacobe enters the matchup 10th in the state with 630 yards. Sophomore Gavin Cornelison is right behind him at 11th with 622 rushing yards.
Clarinda has a great running game as well. AC/GC will be tasked with the job of stopping Connor Brown who is just a few slots behind the AC/GC duo with 514 yards and five touchdowns.
