Panorama students are decked out in blue today to show school spirit, and maybe their opposition to the “dark side” for their Star Wars-themed homecoming, “Return of the Panthers.”

There are several festivities leading up to the varsity football battle at 7 p.m. against Mount Ayr. The high school student council is hosting a cook-out lunch for all staff and students, followed by an elementary pep rally at 2:30 p.m. in the circle drive, and a secondary building pep rally at 2:55 p.m. in the high school gym. At 6:30 p.m. the cross country team’s rally run will end at midfield with the presentation of the game ball.

During halftime the marching band will perform and the 2019 king and queen will be crowned. Those vying to be king are Emry Colby, Kade Kemble, Malachi Peasley, Jared Stagg, and Nathan Wolfe. Those looking to outrank Princess Leia are Abigail Brown, Payton Douglass, Lydia Lindstrom, Chloe Webster, and Maggie Woodvine. The celebration will conclude tomorrow with a dance from 8-11 p.m. in the high school commons.
