It’s Greene County at home in Jefferson at Linduska Field tonight in the annual Homecoming football game vs. the Knights of Kuemper Catholic (Carroll). Coach Caden Duncan’s Rams are 5-0 overall, 1-0 in Class 2A District 9, and ranked fourth or fifth, depending on the poll. The Knights are 1-4 overall, 0-1 in the district, and have lost four straight games. Greene County has won eight in a row in the regular season going back to last year.
Kuemper Catholic knocked off the 2018 Rams in Carroll when Greene County was 5-0 and the Knights were 2-3, so Coach Duncan says Greene County will be facing a good team and the Rams will get Kuemper’s best effort. “We know they’re not a typical 1-4 team. They have some very good athletes and are very capable. We’ll have to bring our “A” game.”
The Rams are averaging 44 points per game while allowing just 11 per contest. Nevada is the only team so far this season to score points against the Greene County defense.
Game time is 7 p.m. with coverage starting at 6 p.m. on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
