The second event in the all new “LEGOs at the Library” program at the Perry Public Library will be held on a different day than all the others, as it will be on Wednesday, October 9th at 3:30 p.m.

Children’s Librarian Suzanne Kestel says the first program and all events after this one are on the first Wednesday of the month, but due to a conflict the October class was moved back. Kestel says the program is designed for kids in 1st through 4th grade, and it’s free to attend. “I have some topics, and somebody will draw out a topic, and so the children will design whatever it is. Whether it’s a bridge, or a house, or a computer, or a bug, or whatever. And then the last half of the class will be free play, and they’re just able to play with the LEGOs and build whatever they want.”

Kestel adds, all LEGOs will be supplied and no registration is required for the program. To learn more about this and other upcoming events at the Perry Library, stop in or give them a call at 515-465-3569.
