In an effort to get people to live healthier lives, the Iowa Healthiest Walk is happening this Wednesday.
It is an initiative to get people walking on a single day to improve overall health in the state. The first event in Greene County is at 8:30am. The walk will start at the Paton-Churdan School with the Paton Public Library co-sponsoring. The public is invited to join them as they honor the memory of Wilma and Clair Hunter.
The next walk will take place at Greene County Elementary School at 9am, and a wellness walk will start at the Greene County Medical Center, also at 9am. The final planned walk is also another wellness walk starting at the Prairie Lakes Area Education Agency on the north side of the downtown square in Jefferson at noon. All walks are free.
