A reminder that today is the GC MiniCon in Jefferson.

It will be held at the Greene County Community Center from 1-5pm. There will be a variety of activities for everyone to enjoy. A laser demonstration with Greene County resident Troy Powers will be at 1:30pm, followed by Ninja Olympics at 2. A costume contest and runway with Kohaku and Friends takes place at 3pm. The event will wrap up with a sword class with dojo owners Samurai Dan and Lady Jillian at 4. 

Attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite family-friendly costumes. Prizes will be awarded for kids, teens and adults, along with people’s choice and judge’s favorite. Additionally, there will be several vendors with art, books, comics and fandom merchandise for sale.

The event is sponsored by the Greene County Libraries Association and the Greene County Board of Supervisors.
