A reminder that today is the final day of the Friends of the Jefferson Library Used Book Sale.
It is also bargain day. Anyone who purchases books will be given a brown paper bag to fill for only $4. Additionally, selected books or items that are individually priced, will be sold at half price. All proceeds go to the Friends for purchases for the library. Friends member Ginny Showman talks about some of the recent purchases.
“We purchased childrens book bags that are animal shaped. Any student or child who gets a new library card gets a free book bag. The money also goes to our wish list of things that we are hoping for and the big one this year is new computers for the patrons. The Friends are hoping to supplement the cost of those.”
Items for sale include children and adult books, DVDs, CDs, jigsaw puzzles, board games and audio books. The book sale is from 9am-1pm today and is in the library’s basement.
