Senior Paige Heaning is one of six returning volleyball letter winners for Greene County. The Rams are 2-2 so far this season after going 7-22 a year ago. Heaning plays Libero, and she explains what that is. “So it’s basically just a designated back row player who doesn’t have to go through the formal substitution. I can just go in the back row for anyone anytime.” She was asked how it suits her. “I think pretty well. I really like it! I think that back row is my strength on the team.” She said she’d like to think of herself as a leader of the back row.

The Rams opened the season with two sets to one victories over Collins-Maxwell and Glidden-Ralston on Aug. 26, then lost two sets to one on Aug. 29 vs. Ft. Dodge St. Edmond and Perry.

Next up is the South Central Calhoun tournament on Saturday, Sept. 7.
