As the nation celebrates Labor Day, Guthrie County residents are reminded of several offices being closed to recognize the holiday.

The Transfer Station, Mary J. Barnett Memorial Library in Guthrie Center, Panora Public Library, and Stuart Public Library are all closed today. Stuart, Guthrie Center, and Panora city halls and the Guthrie County Courthouse are also closed. Garbage for Guthrie Center and Lake Panorama residents will not be picked up until tomorrow, and Panora residents may see some delays in garbage pick up tomorrow. The Guthrie County Extension Office is also closed from now through tomorrow. All post offices are closed, as well as most banking institutions.
