The Guthrie County Fair closes out 2019 tomorrow, with several attractions for the community to enjoy.

The day begins with the Zach Meacham Memorial chicken calling and throwing contest, followed by the tractor ride. There will also be the parade of champions, a chainsaw carving auction, and American Legion bingo.

The core of the fair is 4-H, and SESS Rangefinders club member Ruby Hummel shares what the program has given her, “Being in 4-H I’ve been able to learn so much and I’ve been able to have so many more opportunities than I would’ve had just in school. I’ve gotten to meet more people than I would have ever known, and I’ve been able to learn and improve my civic and leadership skills and all of those which I would have been lacking otherwise. And it makes me a better person I feel like being in 4-H because I’ve been able to learn so much.”

Kids and adults can also spend the final day of the fair on the free carnival rides. Raccoon Valley Radio will also be having its final broadcast of the fair from the Big Red Radio. For show results visit the Guthrie County Fair page.
