As 4-H’ers and FFA members vie to be the winner in their respective show categories, the Guthrie County Fair is competing in a challenge of its own.
The Guthrie County Agricultural Society, otherwise known as the Fair Board, has been named one of 15 finalists in Grinnell Mutual’s Fairground Facelift initiative. The Board was chosen among 143 submissions, and now it’s up to community members to help them win up to $3,000. The Board is seeking a grant to purchase metal picnic tables to place next to the fairground playground. You can vote for the Fair Board by visiting Grinnell Mutual’s Facebook page or website, and people can vote once per day. Voting ends at noon Thursday, September 12th. For more information visit here.
