The West Central Valley women’s volleyball team was competitive in their home opener against Woodward-Granger but ultimately fell in straight sets 25-20, 25-11, and 25-18. The Lady Wildcats were competitive early on, but couldn’t take the first set. They were unable to recover in the second and third sets, and fell just short.

Freshmen Emily Goodner led the team with 7 kills and 12 digs. Goodner has been a bright spot so far, and is an exciting young player for the Lady Wildcats. Maria Pruitt had 13 assists, and Jenna Merical had 7 kills as well.

The Lady Wildcats will be back on the road next week, when they they visit Earlham.
