Perry will have a new quarterback under center when they open the season Friday night at Greene County.  Jacob Nelson will take his first snaps under center as Perry deals with heavy graduation losses.  Nelson is a returning state qualifying wrestler.

“Jacob brings a lot of intelligence and toughness to the position.  Wrestlers are really good, hard nosed football players and Jacob certainly fits in that mold,” stated head coach Matt Hardy.  “Kaleb (Olejniczak) was a wrestler and a really smart player and we’re hoping Jacob can fill in where we left off last season.”
