The Adel-Desoto-Minburn Lady Tiger volleyball team opened their volleyball season in Dallas Center Grimes Tuesday and ended their first three games with a 1-2 record.

They won their first matchup against Algona in straight sets 21-13 and 21-17. The Tigers were able to pull away down the stretch in both sets after both of them starting off very tightly contested. Their second contest against Urbandale was a three set thriller with the Lady Tigers falling just a little short in 7-21, 21-17, 12-15. After Urbandale took the first set with ease, ADM fought back and took the second set. After a tough back and forth battle in the third, Urbandale just squeaked by to take the match.

In the third game, Southeast Polk won the match 22-20, 21-9. Adel-Desoto-Minburn fought hard but fell just short in the final game.

It was a good opening day for the Lady Tigers, and they will look to continue to improve with more matches upcoming very soon.
