The second annual event to raise funds for scholarships and honor a deceased West Central Valley staff member is just a week away, and residents are invited to go the whole nine yards.

The 2019 Jeff Pease Flag Football Classic will take place on Saturday, August 31st at the West Central Valley High School football field. There is one slot still open for the double elimination, eight team adult coed tournament. Proceeds go to the Jeff Pease Memorial Fund, which honors his legacy as a teacher, coach, and community leader with scholarships given to graduating seniors. Organizer Tom Stiles hopes to repeat the success of last year’s event which raised over $7,000. Spectators are also encouraged to join in the fun, with a concession stand, 50/50 cash raffle, and silent auction. Games will begin at 8:30 a.m. and last throughout the day.
