AC/GC fall athletics will get their final test before the season gets underway next week.

Football and volleyball teams from Madrid High School will be visiting Guthrie Center. The Charger football team will get to see what a full-season of the new option-style offense looks like starting at 7 p.m. as they’ll line up against the Tigers for a scrimmage. Meanwhile in the gymnasium, the Charger volleyball squad will be scrimmaging Madrid at 5 p.m.

Both teams are hoping to build off successful 2018. The Charger volleyball season gets started next week with West Central Valley and Van Meter as they hope to make it three straight 20-win seasons. AC/GC football will try to avenge last years loss to IKM-Manning next Friday and try to start the season in the win column for the first time since 2014. AC/GC cross country runs in the Gilbert Invitational at Iowa State on Thursday to start their season.
