The 100+ People for Perry will hold their third donation meeting of the year this coming Monday.

The event will be held at La Poste on August 26th, with a social time at 6:30 p.m. and the meeting starting at 7. Members of the group will present three randomly-selected projects for everyone’s consideration, and those in attendance will vote on which to support. Each member will then donate $100 to the chosen nonprofit organization. The organizers remind attendees to bring any project suggestions they may have so there will be plenty to choose from.

The goal of 100+ People for Perry is to invest in the City’s future and enhance the quality of life for residents. The group makes four donations a year to fund a project within the Perry community. To date, they have pledged $95,600 to 14 projects, including the most recent donation of $7,300 to Perry’s Academic, Cultural, and Enrichment Services (PACES) program. Anyone interested in joining the organization is encouraged to reach out to organizers Mark Powell at 515-465-4641 or mpowel@fdplawfirm.com, Tom Lipovac at Tom.Lipovac@perry.k12.ia.us, or Linda Kaufman at kaufmanlinda1948@gmail.com. Any current members who can’t attend Monday’s meeting can drop off their check at the Finneseth, Dalen, and Powell Law Firm.
