Friday, August 9th

8:00am: John McConnell reported a Hit & Run Accident, which had occurred on 08/08/2019. McConnell’s 2007 Chevrolet Impala had been parked in the 200 Block of North Wilson Avenue from 1200 to 1400 hours. He discovered damage to the left rear tire and left rear quarter. The damage estimate was $1000.00. The officer is investigating.

8:04am: HyVee reported the Theft of Alcohol from the previous evening at 106 West Washington Street. Video was provided to the officer of a couple taking a bottle of liquor valued at $19.24. The officer has identified the couple and charges are pending.

9:05am: Sparky’s One Stop reported a stray dog at 606 Hwy. 30 East. The officer arrived and knew the dog lived outside of the city. The owner was contacted to pick the animal up.

11:30am: The Greene County Rec Center reported Criminal Mischief occurring in a restroom. $200.00 in damages and clean up had occurred in the Men’s Restroom. The staff is reviewing video to determine who is responsible and charges are pending.

2:20pm: Sandra Niles reported the Theft of items from 1000 West Adams #38. Cash and items totaling $1650.00 were found to be missing. They were last known to be in the apartment in late June. No forced entry was located. The officer is investigating the reported theft.

2:42pm: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 700 Block of West South Street.

6:12pm: Kyle Rysavy requested an officer to remove an unwanted female from the property at 708 West Harrison Street. The officer spoke to the female, who left the area on her own.

7:14pm: Kim Jacobson spoke with an officer about having a trailer parked in the alley while tearing shingles off of the garage roof at 407 East Lincoln Way Street. There was plenty of room to get around the trailer.

7:34pm: An officer is attempting to make contact with the resident at 409 South Olive Street for heavy grass clippings blown into the street. City Ordinance prohibits grass clippings to be left in the street after mowing.

9:12pm: Rebecca Blanchard spoke with an officer about a Civil Tennent Issue occurring with a renter at 306 West Washington Street.

10:34pm: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance with a Medical Call in the 500 Block of East Clark Street.

Saturday, August 10th

1:08am: The GCMC ER advised a male patient had left ER and requested he be brought back. The officer located the male outside of the facility and coaxed him back inside.

7:33am: Johnny Hamilton had located a container of quarters a customer had left at his car wash at 902 North Vine Street. He reviewed video and had a registration plate of the customer’s vehicle. The officer assisted in getting the money returned to the customer.

7:44am: A Traffic Stop performed in the 1400 Block of North Elm Street resulted in Jamie Wasson of Grand Junction being cited for, “Operation without Registration.”

9:52am: Yvon Day requested a Welfare Check on a dog tied out in the 500 Block of South Oak Street. The officer spoke to an occupant at the residence and learned the dog was fine and had just been tied out for a short period.

10:40am: An officer performed a Funeral Escort.

11:46am: Jacob Lane reported a tire had been cut on his vehicle while parked in the 600 Block of North Wilson Avenue overnight.

2:21pm: A Traffic Stop performed in the 300 Block of West Madison Street resulted in Nelson Solis Pacheco of MN. Being cited for, “Fail to Have a Valid Driver’s License.”

5:28pm: A Traffic Stop at 220th and Wild Rose Lane resulted in Nelson Lo of Carroll being cited for, “Driving on Wrong Side of Two-Way Highway.”

6:55pm: Bomgaars reported a suspicious male in the parking lot at 203 West McKinley Street. The male left before the officer’s arrival in the area.

7:54pm: A caller requested an officer at 104 East Clark Street for a reported Assault with a Knife. The officer’s investigation led to the arrest of Brianne Kara Wolf, 28 of Homeless for, “Assault While Displaying a Dangerous Weapon – Aggravated and Assault – Simple.”

10:55pm: Jennifer Ashby requested an officer at 108 East Central #66 for an Unwanted Male at the property. The male had left before the officer’s arrival.

11:08pm:The GCMC ER advised of an agitated male patient trying to leave ER. The officer located the subject outside and returned him to ER.

11:28pm: An officer checked the area of the 100 Block of East Central Avenue after dispatch received a 911 Hang Up Call. The officer located the caller and learned she was fine.

Sunday, August 11th

3:14am: An officer assisted the GC Ambulance in the 200 Block of East Wilcoxway with an Accident Gunshot Wound to the foot.

2:23pm: A caller spoke with an officer about a vehicle parked on private property. He had allowed the subject to park the vehicle on his property, but would not remove it now after being asked. The officer advised the property owner could tow the vehicle at their expense.

2:49pm: An officer assisted the Greene County Jailer with a female prisoner, who was assaulting the jailer. The officer gave the female several commands that went ignored by the prisoner. She lunged towards the officer and the officer deployed his TASER on the female to gain control and compliance. The Sheriff’s Office will be handling any criminal charges in the matter.

4:12pm: A caller advised of a truck with juveniles riding on the outside of the vehicle in the 500 Block of South Chestnut Street. The officer did not locate the vehicle.

5:04pm: Leslie Chothen spoke with an officer concerning a Civil Child Custody Issue occurring in Jefferson.

5:29pm: Janice Harbaugh reported an Audible Alarm sounding off at 401 West McKinley Street. The officer found the building to be secured and a key holder was contacted and advised.

6:46pm: A caller advised they had witnessed a rabbit with an arrow through it in the 700 Block of South Oak Street. The officer is investigating.

7:44pm: Nicole Johnson requested an officer at 500 East Clark Street for an Unwanted Male at the residence. The officer arrived while the subject was removing his items from the residence and left on his own.

9:04pm: The White Oak Station advised of a female customer leaving 303 North Elm Street on a bike with suspected narcotics in her purse. The officer did not locate the reported subject.

11:56pm: Nellie Gustin reported an Audible Alarm sounding at 401 East McKinley. A key holder was contacted.
