Stuart and surrounding families can meet with local law enforcement and help address food insecurity at an annual event tonight.

The Stuart Police Department is hosting a National Night Out event, which is part of a campaign to promote community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. The event lasts from 6-9 p.m. in Lawbaugh Park, with a free barbecue meal to be served from 6-7 p.m. Attendees can check out the officer’s vehicles, as well as see demonstrations, and win prizes. There will also be bounce houses for children. This is a free event to the public, and participants are invited to bring non-perishable food items to be donated to the Stuart Cottage Pantry.
