The Perry Public Library recently began offering a free digital service to patrons, and this Monday they’re hosting a tutorial event to teach users how to operate it.
Through the provider Recorded Books (RBdigital), the library has been able to give people access to audiobooks, streaming television and movies, music concerts, and documentaries. It also provides an assortment of online learning materials, such as Transparent Language, the Great Courses Library Collection, the LearnItLive wellness and personal development program, and Method Test Prep for the ACT and SAT exams. Library Director Mary Murphy says the program has been well received so far, but feels some people may not know exactly how to take advantage of it. To that end, on August 12th at 6:30 p.m., the public is invited to the library’s large meeting room to learn more about how to obtain RBdigital and how to navigate its many options.
The tutorial is free and open to the public, and no registration is required. To learn more about this and other services through the Perry Public Library, stop in or give them a call at 515-465-3569.
