A Stuart man has been sentenced to two years in prison after violating the terms of his probation.
According to Guthrie County Attorney Brenna Bird, 40-year-old William Joseph Mumford was placed on probation for an October 2018 incident of admitting a child to premises with obscene materials and dissemination of obscene materials to a minor by telephone. A probation revocation hearing was held on July 29th after Mumford appeared under the influence of drugs and was verbally abusive to his probation officer and others during a home visit in June. District Court Judge Tom Murphy ordered that Mumford’s probation be revoked and imposed the original sentence of two years in prison.
