The final outdoor movie night of the season takes place in Guthrie Center this Saturday, with an evening full of activities for kids to embrace the remaining days of summer.
Main Street Guthrie Center is partnering again with the Association of Churches for a family fun night that will last from 5-8 p.m. and the movie starting at 8:30 p.m. in Mitchell Park. This month’s film is “How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World,” and Main Street Guthrie Center Director Dana Buster shares the support it takes to put on this free event, “The movie itself is actually paid for and sponsored by Guthrie County State Bank for this round and we’ve had sponsors for all the movies this year which really helped our Main Street program out, because the licensing to show the movies to the public can be really expensive. So we’re really grateful for that.”
The family fun night will include food, games, crafts, a bible story, and free swimming at the aquatic center. Concessions will also be sold during the movie, and attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets.
