Dallas County Public Health reminds residents that they offer a special service to aid people in getting the help they need with their Health Navigation program.
Individuals can refer themselves or others to the program, or they can be referred by a healthcare provider. Navigators will then connect clients with the resources that meet their needs. They will provide assistance in filling out paperwork, completing phone calls, and taking individuals through how to explore the healthcare system. Health Navigation representatives can meet with clients at times and locations most convenient to them, whether that’s in their home or at a different location.
Public Health emphasizes that the goal of the program is to help people improve their overall quality of life and advocate for their own health needs.
