Yale residents have a few more days to submit their interest in serving on the City Council.

The City is looking to fill a seat vacated by the late Kevin Kirtley. Those wishing to be a Councilmember can submit a letter of interest to Yale City Hall by noon Monday. The Council will then consider appointing a successor at their regular meeting Tuesday, who would serve until the November 5th general election. Those wanting a special election must file a petition with the City Clerk by Tuesday or within two weeks from the vacancy being filled. The petition must be signed by at least 15% of those who voted in the last general election.
