In order for ADM to pull off the upset today versus Cedar Rapids Xavier, the work on the mound by Logan Crannell needs to be superb, much like it was against Harlan and Glenwood in Districts.

Xavier comes to the Capital City with a potent offense and the ability to put up a large number of runs.

Should Crannell toss a game for ADM like he did against Harlan last Wednesday, the Tigers have a good shot at taking down #1 Xavier.

In the game at Harlan last week, Crannell threw the entire game, seven complete innings.  He tossed up just 86 pitches, allowing just one hit to the Cyclones, and striking out 9 Harlan batters.  Crannell’s breaking ball was wicked, and another effort like his last outing could definitely propel the Tigers into the Semifinals on Friday.
