A Perry Elementary School teacher is one of 120 teachers in the state chosen to receive grant from U.S. Cellular.

The school received $749 on behalf of kindergarten teacher Carla Creswell as part of the wireless carrier’s Calling All Teacher’s Campaign.

The grant will fund a kindergarten science investigations project.  A total of $70,820 was awarded to schools across Iowa as part of the campaign, benefiting 8,950 students throughout the state.

Next month, U.S. Cellular is bringing back its Calling All Communities campaign where schools can rally community support for the chance to win $25,000.
