2019 Greene County High School graduate Bryce Hoyle played in the annual Shrine Bowl football game on Saturday inside the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls. Hoyle played defensive tackle and long snapper for the South team, a 24-13 winner over the North. Proceeds from the annual all-star football game benefit Shriner’s Children’s Hospitals. The South led 17-0 at halftime and 24-0 early in the third quarter before the North scored the last 13 points of the contest.
Hoyle told Raccoon Valley Radio the experience was one he wished everyone could take part in. He specifically zeroed in on Friday morning when some of the patients of Shriners Children’s Hospitals and the players intermingled in Cedar Falls.
