Progress continues for the new high school and career academy project for the Greene County School District.

After a slight delay, precast concrete walls are being installed on the exterior of the career academy, and the interior block walls are almost complete for the academy portion. The next phase is the high school academic wing, which all of the interior and exterior footings have been poured and are ready. Once the interior block walls and precast concrete walls are finished for the academic wing, crews will move onto the gymnasium and finally the auditorium.

The north entry road and parking lot have been graded and white rock is being laid. The next step for that part of the project is pouring concrete for the road and parking lot. Crews are also doing extensive work on the storm, sanitary sewer and water lines. Work is being done by Henkel Construction.

The projected date of completion for the high school and career academy is August 1, 2020, the gym is August 15th, with the auditorium to be done by October 1st.
