On Tuesday night, the #2 ranked ADM Tigers Softball team came up just a bit short of their State Tournament run as the Oskaloosa Indians made the trip to Adel and took the win back to southeast Iowa by the score of 1-0.
ADM ended the game with four hits, and Oskaloosa ended the game with just two hits, but that’s all the Indians needed to secure the win. Osky scored on an RBI bunt that was perfectly placed to allow the runner at third base to come home safely.
ADM had its chances early, as the Tigers left the bases loaded in the first inning, and Abbie Hlas hit a ball to deep center that dropped just feet short of the 210′ fence. Hlas took a double on the play, but the Tigers were unable to capitalize.
ADM ends its softball season at 28-7, and Oskaloosa advances to the State Tournament in Fort Dodge beginning next week.
We’ll have more reaction from ADM coaches and players on Monday night’s Around The Bases Show.
