The Panorama baseball season ended Tuesday with a 5-4 extra inning loss to Interstate 35 in the district semifinal.
The Panthers got on the board first when Evan Taylor scored on a wild pitch to take a 1-0 lead in the the third inning. I-35 answered in the fourth to take a 2-1 lead. Panorama was then able to tie it in the bottom of the fifth on an RBI infield hit for Brice Taylor.
Interstate 35 took the lead again, but Evan Taylor drove in another run to even the score at 3-3. Then in the sixth the Roadrunners took another lead only to see Panorama again tie the game in the top of the seventh. It would ultimately take 10 innings for I-35 to come away with the victory.
With the loss Panorama’s season ends with a record of 15-14. Interstate 35 will face Van Meter Saturday in the district final.
