Greene County head softball coach Tom Kennedy talked with Raccoon Valley Radio yesterday about senior Jenna Beyers. The coach talks today about the only other senior on the 2019 team, Megan Carey. Both are Paton-Churdan graduates.

“Megan has always been a good center fielder, but this year she took it to another level. She covered a lot of ground out there and made some excellent plays.” The Ram had inexperience to the right and left of Carey, and the coach thought Megan did an excellent job helping those players get better.”

He added, “She really became such a great hitter for us as a lead-off slap-hitter who had an outstanding career. I really hope she gets some postseason honors because she deserves them. I’m really glad she came out for softball because she was undecided as an eighth grader. I think she thought that was a good decision.”

The Rams finished 10-18 after starting the campaign 0-8.
