The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday.

The meeting began with department updates from Conservation Director Joe Hanner and Health Services Director Jotham Arber. Next, the Board approved an amendment to the County’s major medical plan. Human Resources Director Pam Lane also gave a department update, mentioning that department heads will receive training on how to use the new county website this week.

The Board then received an update from the Sid Samuels Group and Shive-Hattery Architecture and Engineering on phase two of the jail project, and discussed the next step of financing. Finally, the Board approved a resolution appointing John Twillmann as the new Assistant Guthrie County Attorney, and approved a fireworks permit for the Casey Service Club.
