The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday.
The meeting began with the Board approving a resolution for Assistant County Attorney Tim Benton’s retirement, and approving a payroll change notice for his replacement, John Twillman. County Attorney Brenna Bird also gave a department update, and suggested presenting options for an all-terrain vehicle ordinance to the Board next month. Next, the Board approved a one year service contract with Panora Telco for $60,780. Panora Telco General Manager Andy Randol commented on the contract’s language, “The contract is almost verbatim to last year’s contract, dollars and cents-wise it is verbatim, and it was all incorporated in the budget that Curtis (Thornberry) went through with you a week and a half ago.”
Finally, the Board approved a substance abuse prevention services agreement with New Opportunities, several fireworks, tobacco, and liquor permits, and adopted salaries and wages for county employees effective this fiscal year.
